ya, last time i tried oracle on linux 2.4, it shit the bed with devfs.
(it thought i had like -65535 space free or something.) i dont think
they have fixed this bug either.

i guess oracle isn't really serious about linux.

honestly, if you are going to run oracle (and have the money to pay for
it) then the only way to go is solaris on sun hardware.  end of story.
