I am running Red Hat 7.3
Trying to install Lime Wire
I downloaded the app and from the command line:

chmod +x <file>
./ <file>

That's it.

There are a few things people are going to need to know to help you:

What distribution of linux are you running? (Redhat, Mandrake, Lindows,
etc.)
What version of that distribution are you running?
What application are you trying to install?
What steps did you follow to install the software?

If you repost and include this information I think the help you get will
be much more useful.
