I currently use POWWEB.com for my hosting needs.  They run their system with
a unix or nix flavor.  They run MYSQL and I believe that they have shell
accounts as well, but not sure.  They run about less than $10 a month.  Also
support MX records and have mail servers for your site to use.  Up time is
very decent, rarely down.  They just had a big move to a new NOC and the
performance is excellent (it was before).

I'm in need of a web host for my employers web site, and I'm kind of
overwhelmed at the choices available to me, so I thought I'd check to see
what other wplug folks have done.

Here's my needs and wants:

Need:
under $25/month
about 10 megs static space
reliable enough that I'll never ever have to explain to my boss why the
site is down :)

Want:
runs apache on linux (ideal) or other *nix
postgresql (ideal) or mysql
python
accessible via ssh to shell account

So, what services can you folks recommend that meet or at least
approximate these criteria?
