Actually, there is a way, although it may not be what you're looking
for. I haven't used it much (tried it out a couple version ago), but
check out PhatLinux at http://phatlinux.com/.

PhatLinux installs onto your Windows machine into a file and runs from
there. From the FAQ:

Q. Will I have to repartition my hard drive to install Phat Linux?

A. No, that's what's great about Phat Linux. Unlike other Linux
distributions, Phat Linux does not need it's own partition. It will run
happily on any Windows/DOS partition.

There are other distros like this. For example, check out the Google
Directory at :

ux/Distributions/UMSDOS/?tc=1

Another option is to run VMWare (http://www.vmaware.com). With VMWare
you can run pretty much any OS from within any other OS (well, mostly).
You can at least run Windows inside Linux or visa versa. Of course, you
will take a bit of a performance hit and there can be other snags, but
you don't have to repartition. It's a really great product, so you
might want to at least download the 30 day trial.
