I'm not a Perlmonger, and I'm not that deep into Python yet, but I think
the Vaults of Parnassus are supposed to be the Python equivalent of
CPAN.  There's no interface I'm aware of, though.  Find the link for
"Vaults of Parnassus" on the sidebar of the python.org front page.
