        Well, you could install the Debian base system (12-14
floppies), and add the packages you need over and above those in the
base system again via floppy. With the disk space you mention, I
suspect you are not going to need many more of the latter set of
packages. 

        Check the Debian i386 installation manual at www.debian.org
for pointers to d/l'ing the base system on to floppies.
