a reinstallation would be terrible overkill ... to get the nic working,
all you have to do is make sure that support is compiled (either into the
kernel, or as a module).  i'm not sure what utils you'd wanna use for
redhat to configure the nic ... but it should be relatively simple.
hopefully someone more familiar with redhat 7.1 will post a reply with
specific instructions :)
