Nauticom is almost never down, and gives you a static IP.
They also keep track of your MAC address, so multiple computers need a
router (unless you want to wait the 40 min for their servers to refresh)
And they don't support routers (or Linux).
However, 512up and 512down for ~$40/month is very nice, and it's the only
DSL that we knew of at the time.
They give you the modem if you sign up for a 2 year (I think) contract.
