[wplug] DSL

I am using Verizon. I have the basic plan. That is 640kbps/90kbps I think.
You get one IP address and it's not static. They use PPPoE which is like
dial-up. I don't think that they offer static IP addresses yet. If you
want to run a web server you can use a dynamic DNS service to register with.
So far I really don't have any complaints with Verizon. As for the NIC I
would use a 3com because I really like them, but linksys and netgear also
work good for me. Good Luck.

Subject: [wplug] DSL

Hello,

Greetings.

I am thinking about getting DSL. Is anybody using DSL? What companies
provide good DSL service?

I am using the 2.4.5 kernel and I do not have a NIC. What NIC's do you
recommend that I buy for DSL service?

I want to get my own IP address so I can run a web, file server, etc...

Thanks for your help.
