[wplug] nameserver use by kppp

I use kppp to connect to the internet. I noticed that my resolv.conf had
grown to over 100 lines with most of them being duplicates. I have kppp
configured to use dynamically assigned nameserverers since that is the
policy of my ISP.

Do all of those duplicates cause dns problems? I tried deleting all but
one and running kppp again. I looked and it seemed that kppp had
installed two new nameservers into resolv.conf and they had a comment
that they were temporary. Also each newly added namesever appeared
twice.

Here is what I had before calling kppp

search localdomain

#ppp temp entry
nameserver 198.6.1.60 # ppp temp entry 2/25/2002 SNDI

Here is what I had after calling kppp

search localdomain

#ppp temp entry
nameserver 198.6.1.60 # ppp temp entry 2/25/2002
nameserver 198.6.1.125 #kppp temp entry
nameserver 198.6.100.125 #kppp temp entry
nameserver 198.6.1.125 # ppp temp entry 2/25/2002 SNDI
nameserver 198.6.100.125 # ppp temp entry 2/25/2002 SNDI

Does anyone have an idea on why I had so many entries? Could it be ppp
dying with cleaning up? Does it hurt my perfromance to have those
entries?

Mike
