[wplug] No sound from CD Player

Okay,

I've got my sound card working because I can play any wave files and whatnot 
on my linux box.  However, when I insert a music CD, I don't get any sound.  
Specifically, I've been trying the standard CD player for KDE, but I've also 
tried MusicMatch for Linux, and that didn't work either.  Any suggestions?
