When you boot the machine, is it using grub or lilo?

'rpm -q grub' to see if it's installed.
/etc/grub.conf should be a link to /boot/grub/grub.conf

'rpm -i grub-0.90-11.i386.rpm' to install grub

i don't know if it automatically installs itself to the bootsector..
