[wplug] Sound is low with new kernel

Hello,

Wow, it is my day for email messages to wplug!

My recent problem with partitioning has shed light on another small
problem with my kernels. My original kernel plays sound much louder than
my newer kernel that I compiled to support NTFS. I did this a while back
so I don't remember if I played with any kernel sound stuff (I don't see
why I would have). Anyway, when I log into KDE, the welcome music is
much louder with my original kernel.

Does anybody know why this would happen?
