[wplug] the best spreadsheet for Linux

Hello,

I am trying to find the best Excel substitute on Linux. I have many
spreadsheets containing thousands of rows that I routinely use on
Windows. I am hoping to convert to Linux but I am finding it hard to
manipulate these files on Linux. I need a program that
1) can import Excel files (or at least recognize tab delimited format)
2) can be easily navigated (i.e. Excel has several shortcuts for moving
around effortlessly in a spreadsheet)
3) doesn't assume too much about your data (i.e. Kspread forces you to
deal with numbers as a number whereas I want it to just be plain text).

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thank you,

Paul Cantalupo
