As a backup, LinkSys now makes a wireless bridge.  You
can hook this thing up to any Ethernet-enabled device
and put it on your wireless LAN -- no drivers
required.    

I'm using it at home right now with an old Macintosh. 
Works perfectly.

The model# is WET11.
