Hey,

Anyone on the list own a DAT player (particularly one
w/ SPDIF out)? I know some of the other folks on the
list have been playing around w/ Linux for audio
applications, as have I. I have a single DAT w/ some
of my recordings (masters and copies) which I'd really
like to get onto my hard drive and burn to CD.

Furthermore, if anyone *has* a DAT (like a crappy one
or a portable one) that they want to get rid of, I
still have a bunch of computer equipment I don't need
that I'd be willing to trade (like two
pretty-much-complete Pentium 100 Compaq Deskpros, a
Netopia DSL router, a Linksys KVM switch, a MicroTech
ZiO! USB CompactFlash card reader/writer --- not
supported well under Linux, but I'm sure some of you
still use the evil OS for some purposes, right?)

Anyway, I need a DAT to at least borrow for a half day
to transfer this stuff. If any of you could help me or
point someone who can to me, I'd be very, very
grateful.
