It should also be mentioned that after you put them in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Truetype, you need to:

cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Truetype && ttmkfdir -o fonts.scale && mkfontdir
(as root)

and then edit /etc/X11/XF86Config and add a new FontPath line (look in it and you'll see what I'm talking about) to reflect the new Truetype directory you've created.
