[wplug] Troubleshooting db?

Hey all-

Well, I just wasted about 1.5 hours cursing at my new Debian installation
because my network simply wouldn't work (and it was working yesterday). I
tried EVERYTHING, re-read every man page, how-to, etc... Then I realized that
my ethernet cable wasn't plugged in... ooops. OK, Debian is (once again) in
my good graces. :)

I have occasionally browsed the mail archives looking for specific topics,
but it's hard to find what I'm looking for mainly because it's organized by
date rather than subject. I was thinking that it would be really cool if
selected emails could be sorted by thread and then grouped into some
categories like "networking" "email" "dri" "top 20 common mistakes" etc when
they are archived. Sometimes the "plain english" answers from our own mailing
list are more coherent than the docs/how-to's, and I think they could be a
useful resource for future browsing.

This sounded like a cool idea to me, but what is required to do that? Would
it me a major pain in the butt, and does anyone else think it would be
worthwhile?

Thanks
Doug

ps- "apt-get install".... I'm addicted!
