SPIN = Software Process Improvement Network. Organized by the SEI, they
have monthly meetings, fall to spring, with talks on various methods to
improve the software development process. The meetings were held at the SEI
but lately they have moved them to the US&S building. The SEI has numerous
webpages. You can start at www.sei.cmu.edu or go straight to the SPIN page
at http://www.sei.cmu.edu/collaborating/spins/spins.start.html.

SEI are the people who brought us CMM, and PSP, etc.
