disclaimer: i havent used slackware in over 6 years and i hear it has changed
a bit. during the install did you go through some sort of xwindows
configuration? if not have you tried one of the xfree configuration utilities?

i'm not sure which comes with slack, but you can try running the following:

xf86cfg     
xf86config
Xconfigurator    

Sometime in October Romano, Christopher assaulted keyboard and produced...

|I just installed Slack 8.0 and when I type startx it errors out.  It says
|that no screens where found.  Did I not configure something?
