I'm on the wplug list from an address that I don't use
anymore, but I saw that you were looking for a modem
for your friend.

I have an external 56K modem that I used successfully
with Linux for a while. I don't know if it works
anymore, and I also don't know for sure that I have
the right power adapter for it (which is why it may
not work; I may have inadvertently plugged the wrong
power adapter into it).

If your friend wants, he can have it. If it works, so
much the better. If it works, *and* he wants to give
me a few bucks, I won't stand in his way.

For what it's worth, it a CNet v.90 external.
