You should have an alias per task.  Then you can stick the appropriate
people in there so they get only that mail.

# notified about all activities
root: jj, evand

# notified of backup status
backups: mary, jon, hw-maint

# RAID drive failures
raid: bob, lisa, hw-maint

# any external hardware maintenance
hw-maint: fred, kim, root
