Hi All,

I'm new to the group and thought I'd introduce myself.  I hate to read
and/or post to a list without letting people know I'm here.  I'm new to
Linux and the total Unix world, but have been active in the computer
field for the past 20 years.  I bought an old laptop and installed
Mandrake 6.5 to check out the alternative to the 'standard' we've all
been stuck with for so long.

I hope to make it to the next installfest, since I've been trying, off
and on, to get Debian/X (and Progeny Debian) to display properly on my
LCD screen.  Hopefully I can help with some questions and maybe post
some of my own for other newbies out there.

Thanks to whomever started this group, it's just what we need.
