|easier than installing a network card on a pc without an op sys.

actually if the nic is supported by linux you just boot off the
bootnet.img in the images directory. if they setup dhcp for the local
network, then it doesnt take much effort at all.

fwiw it's faster than using a cdrom if it's all 100mbit.
