Robert,

Thank you very much. Tomorrow I'll plug away at changing it, but it should be
interesting.

As I stated in my original post, the man pages are pretty intimidating to me
considering how new to this I am. I received the following email, and I'll
keep it anonymous..........

>"I believe that NTP is udp. Why didn't you just allow udp packets on that
>port? It seems like it would have taken less time to do that and test it
>than to write a whole new email message to the list."

Well, to answer the question simply, I don't know how. The only way I know
how to do this is to reinstall RH from scratch. So if in your opinion (not
you Robert) it takes less time to reinstall from scratch than to write an
email, let's have a contest....I'll send the email, go home and take care of
two kids, cook dinner, put them to sleep, feed the dogs, finish doing
paperwork, then check my email, and you can sit in front of your computer and
reinstall RH 7.1, and see if it works ( because you weren't sure if that was
the problem). Who is going to get the probable answer in least amount of
time???

Sorry to rant, but the sender implies that I like to waste peoples time,
where this is certainly not the case. I am trying to learn, as I suppose some
other people on this list have the same goal. Someone please tell me if this
is typical of this group, and I will be more than happy to unsubscribe.

Rich
