Thanks for confirming the ctrl alt -/+ problem. I've wasted way too much 
time trying to figure how to cycle video resolution in X. Have been able to 
pass ctrl alt del to VNC by pressing Left ctrl, left diamond, right alt, 
func and delete. I need to live the Happy Hacker for a while.
