Ummmm...No you can't. CAT 3 maxes at 10Mb (has something to do with the way
the wires are set up when you crimp it). CAT5 can run 100Mb, but can't run
Gigabit-E reliably.

You can run 100MB on CAT3!  100BT4 can use CAT3, CAT4, or CAT5 and ALL
four pair.
