Just saw this on the Lotus website at:

It's a Feb. 2nd article about Lotus Domino, and near the end
it says:

IBM is so sure of Linux that IBM Chairman Louis V. Gerstner
has pledged to invest $1US billion in 2001 to advance Linux as
an industry standard operating system for e-business.  [IBM
President and COO Sam Palmisano] went ever further, "We have
voted for open source, and we're [betting] IBM's future
prosperity on Linux." He challenged the IT community by saying
you have to vote for or against open source. "It really is
that black and white."
