[wplug] m68k or powerpc?

The 6100 has a PowerPC chip (601), not a motorola 68000 series chip, so 
obviously you have to go with the ppc distro.  Problem is, I do believe that 
mklinux is the *ONLY* linux that will work on the 6100, since it's lacking a 
PCI bus.
