I have 2 atapi cdroms as well, one a burner.  When I load scsi modules
however, I haven't had luck w/ trying to run one ide and one through
ide-scsi emulation.  First off, your cdburner probably can't play cd's
unless you connected the drive to your sound card.  To use a cdplaying app
on your other cdrom drive, just specify the drive as /dev/scd0.  I know you
said you didn't set that up, but I think that because you specified one,
the other one was emulated as well.
