[wplug] Package-based distros

Compiling stuff isn't the problem, or at least isn't for me now.  I was
thinking of trying out Mandrake, but had heard a rumor that it was easy to
render it unstable by using a lot of compiled stuff.  I think this had
something to do with the type of dependency database they use.  My
question was if this is still the case under Mandrake 8.0.
