>From someone who used to work in a bookstore (me), CHAIN bookstore does not
equal corporate bookstore (if you wanna see corporate, go to B&N). Nobody
gets rich selling used books (and if they do, good for them). If they want to
sell linux software, they will have my full and continued support as a
consumer. I wish HPB the best of success, and if they sell linux software at
good prices, I will continue to buy there... just my extra 2 cents, and no, I
don't work there.
For anyone who just wants a deal on good games, I picked up Descent 3 for 12
$ and Heavy Gear 2 for 15$ at HPB on McKnight. Apparently there are others as
well, so if you're gonna buy, this is the place! When they see that the
product actually SELLS, then other places may catch on too... ok, don't
expect to see HG2 in BestBuy next week, but at least you'll be making a
difference AND getting the deal you want (50% off, right??). Have fun.

PS- has anyone downloaded Mandrake 8.0?? If so, how about giving a quick
overview?? Good? Bad? Ugly? I tried the beta and I'd say UGLY! hopefully the
new version is good. Thanks again..
