Could someone strike up a conversation with Todd? -j -----Forwarded Message----- From: Todd Dailey To: jeremy at wplug.org Subject: Request to add StarTech.com to your website links Date: 05 Jan 2004 09:13:52 -0500 Hello! I was interested to read of your Linux user's group. I am writing to ask that you consider StarTech.com as a great site to add to the links page of your user group's website. We've been in business for 18 years and specialize at manufacturing hard-to-find parts - including products for Linux. I think you and your members would find us a useful resource to add to your website! You will find us listed on Linux.org under several Linux-compatible categories. For example, we manufacture Linux-compatible controller cards as well as other Linux-compatible products. http://www.linux.org/vendor/hardware/controller.html Please visit Startech.com, have a look around and consider adding us to your link page. If you have any questions about us, please feel welcome to ask. -- Todd Dailey tdailey at startech.com (519) 455-9675 X1202 StarTech.com "The Professionals' Source For Hard-to-Find Computer Parts." www.startech.com From pmoran at paiservices.net Fri Jan 16 12:20:57 2004 From: pmoran at paiservices.net (PAUL MORAN) Date: Fri, 16 Jan 2004 12:20:57 -0500 Subject: [wplug-web] Improve your website please Message-ID: <000801c3dc55$1b478a30$3e00a8c0@cadstation> I had a very difficult time finding your website. I would have given up if I didn't already know there were regular lug meetings in Pittsburgh. I will be attending one this saturday. I would suggest adding some search terms to your homepage to improve search engine postings. The metadata html tag is used and I think keywords it the type. Anyway, I'm sure someone could look it up with very little difficulty. some example keywords would be: pittsburgh, pa, lug, linux, group, user, western pa This would allow a new person who didn't know the exact path "wplug.org" to find your site more quickly. I was using Yahoo as my search engine, so it is possible you would be easier to google or AOL search. Just a suggestion I have seen help others.
