I think the answer here is clearly to port Outlook XP to PHP. I assign this
task to zman ;-)

P.S. I, too, would prefer something more traditional; perhaps a layout can
be determined which combines the best of both jo2y and zman's respective
worlds. However, I am in no mood for setting in motion a paradigm shift in
the calendering field. I do promise to think about the problem, though.
