- Change "Linux Resources" on the navigation bar to "Resources"
- Change "Pennsylvania LUGS" to "Other LUGs"
- Remove the defunt PittLUG listing
- Remove the other LUG listings
- Leave the linux.com lug search there
- New section called "Other Pittsburgh User Groups/Functions"
- Add PittJUG - http://www.pittjug.org - Java User Group
- Add PittMark - http://www.pittmark.org - XML User Group
- Add Pittsburgh SAGE - http://www.pghsage.org - Sys Admin Guild
- Add Geek Night - http://www.pghgeeks.org - High-Tech Social Gathering
- Left-hand Bar
- I think this should be fixed-width
- Change "MeetingInfo" to "Meeting Info"
- Use abbreviations for locations - the text is too long and squishes
the main page. If they need to know what these TLAs are, they can
read the full text of an announcement.
- Change "Carnegie Mellon" to "CMU"
- Change "Newel-Simon Hall" to "NSH"
- Change "Room" to "Rm."
- Change format of Meeting Info - it's too lengthy
Next GUM
When: <date>
Time: <time>
Where: <location>
More Info! - link to latest announcement
Next Installfest
When: <date>
Time: <time>
Where: <location>
More Info! - link to latest announcement
- Use someone's suggestion of removing the admin access form and making
it hidden
- Ditch the Mailing Lists box at the bottom of each page
- Make a new footer
- webmaster email address?
- link to feedback form?
- Change "Mail Archives" to "Mailing Lists"
- The paragraph on the Mail Archives page should read:
To subscribe to a list, change your subscription preferences, or
read the archives, click on a list name below.
- Change the "Mail Archives" page so that those archive links now point
to the main mailman page for the corresponding list.
- Leave the Pre-November links there.
- Remove the "backlogs" link
- or fix it, but i have no idea where that's supposed to go
What do you guys think of these changes?
I am willing to do all or some of this if someone points me to the right
place to do it.
