I mean.. Message-ID: <20010115113241.D1262@matrix.dyndns.org> I guess this isn't really the first post, but hopefully it is the first post of a new beginning to the radio sig. After the last GUM I think it was agreed that we need to throw something together no matter how much it sucks. So let's do this: Below confirm what you are doing your peice on Zach - wplug news/linux news Micheal - ssh vs. telnet Evan - standard rant Matthew - segways and ? I may be forgetting people. Anywho, in the next two weeks I'd like to produce something. That means that by JANUARY 29 we will have a show! So before then everyone needs to right and produce a segment, whether that means recording itself or sending it to someone else to be recorded. Can we agree on a mp3 format? What kbps and khz should we use? After these are all produced I can splice them together. -- Zach Paine http://www.wplug.org/~zman/zman.key Key available from pgp.ai.mit.edu ID: 87746D3D Fingerprint: B813 EFB8 ECD0 0C34 6F7F 71DD 01E9 17C3 8774 6D3D From mhues at excite.com Mon Jan 15 19:28:55 2001 From: mhues at excite.com (Matthew Hughes) Date: Mon, 15 Jan 2001 16:28:55 -0800 (PST) Subject: [Wplug-radio] First Post!! So I may need to makit a wave or something. However I am really keen on getting it going. I will do the segways and since I am a little behind the rest of you on this this is great cause I need to hear from the rest of you first. I think three items with segways will be enough for our first show. Once I get my 'potato' box up and running with sound I will be able to record with mp3 until then I will let you guys decide the kbps and khz. Just remember most users are still 56k on a good day. If you need an mp3 encoder I suggest lame. You can shoot troubleshooting questions at the main list :) I would like to see some confirmations from each of those people who said they would do a bit. -- Zach Paine http://www.wplug.org/~zman/zman.key Key available from pgp.ai.mit.edu ID: 87746D3D Fingerprint: B813 EFB8 ECD0 0C34 6F7F 71DD 01E9 17C3 8774 6D3D From mhues at excite.com Tue Jan 16 22:24:11 2001 From: mhues at excite.com (Matthew Hughes) Date: Tue, 16 Jan 2001 19:24:11 -0800 (PST) Subject: [Wplug-radio] First Post!!
