[wplug-plan] Program Topic

I noticed a topic on Slashdot today about the activity of the Free Software Foundation in 2006: http://community.linux.com/community/06/12/21/2018224.shtml?tid=19

There are alot of issues like GPL changes which I don't understand and the tendency of Vista to be an upsell rather than an upgrade and mostly a trojan horse to restrict control over our own PCs.  

Could a GUM program topic be the advantages of free software?  I am not qualified to lead the program.
