Regarding the SVG, while I'd be doubtful that most printshops could deal with straight SVG. Inkscape, the tool I used for final logo processing, can export to postscript or PDF. From there the printshop should be able to scale it. If nothing else, Adobe Illustrator can open the file and convert it to whatever the printshop can use.
