By the way...

The SWIC (Society of Women in Computing, Pitt/CMU group) has held a Unix
worshop this week on Pitt campus (2 days ago actually).

Perhaps it'd be worthwhile to invite them to send out a message to their
members that anyone who'd like more information and/or help is welcome at
the Linux User Group meetings just up the street?

The public relations person for the group is Courtney Machi (
courtney.machi at gmail.com).

The meeting was announced through the CS major list as well, and they might
also be interested in pointing CS majors to WPLUG.  I seem to recall one
professor seeming rather horrified that most of his upper level CS course
students were NOT able to tell him why they ought not use telnet to log into
their school accounts...
