meeting this Saturday and visit Columbus instead.

The following message is from Facilities Management Services:

Forbes Ave. Entrance and Parking Lot At Hamburg Hall Closed 10/3, 10/4, 
10/5, 10/6.

>From 5 p.m., Friday, October 3, through 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 6, the
entrance on Forbes Ave at Hamburg Hall will be closed. The tower crane for 
the Collaborative Innovation Center construction project is scheduled to 
arrive and to be erected in the Hamburg Hall parking lot. Several portable 
cranes are used to assemble the 120' tower and 300' boom.

Access through the Forbes Ave entrance will resume to its normal 
construction schedule Monday evening.


Campus Update - Construction Road Closings

The erection of the tower crane for the Collaborative Innovation Center 
(CIC) building is scheduled for Friday evening, October 3rd, all day 
Saturday and Sunday through Monday evening October 6th.  This work will 
impact vehicles that use the campus road west of Hamburg Hall and adjacent 
to the Forbes Avenue Bridge and all parking in Parking area 15, Hamburg 
Hall.

CLOSED. From 6:00 PM Friday evening, October 3rd through the entire 
weekend
to 5:00 PM on Monday, October 6th the access drive from Hamburg Hall at 
Forbes to the steps at the Physical Plant Building and the Hamburg Hall 
parking area 15

CLOSED. FREW STREET from 6:00 am to 9:00am Saturday October 4th and Sunday 
October 5th access to the west campus via the posted detour route along 
Forbes Avenue, Margaret Morrison Street and Frew Street to Roberts Drive 
due to sweepstakes buggy practices

CLOSED. From 6:00 pm Friday evening, October 3rd through the entire 
weekend
to 6:00 am on Monday, October 6th the Pedestrian access to the FMS walkway

Emergency vehicle access will be from Frew Street and will be escorted by 
the campus police during the hours of 6:00 am to 9:00am Saturday, October 
4th and Sunday, October 5th

The campus police will also escort handicapped vehicles that need to enter 
the campus and park in lots 11, 15, 16 and 20 during the hours of 6:00 am 
to 9:00am Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th.  Call 
412-268-2323
upon arrival on campus or see the Carnegie Mellon police officer stationed 
at Forbes and Margaret Morrison Street.

The campus police will escort all vehicles which need to exit the campus 
from lots 11, 15, 16 and 20 during the hours of 6:00 am to 9:00am 
Saturday,
October 4th and Sunday, October 5th.
