I think it might be worth our while to ask this fellow for some 
"references." If we can talk to other LUGs and see what their impression 
is about him, we might be able to generate a better overall picture. He 
may have been having a bad day when he talked to the one group we're 
getting info from, and I'd hate to hold him back just because of that. 
However, if he was repeatedly caustic, arrogant, etc. I'd agree with 
Jeremy.
