I'm Rob Wehrli and I regularly travel around the US and other places
attending various LUG meetings and presenting on a variety of topics.
Most recently, I've been giving my talk on porting uClinux to the H8S
microprocessor.

See: http://www.lugod.org/photos/2002.02.18/

...for photos of last Monday's event at the UC Davis (Sacramento, CA)
LUG.

Let me know if you'd like to schedule me in sometime to present at your
LUG. I traditionally provide free pizza, and door prizes, including
t-shirts and books from O'Reilly and Associates. I pay for my own
travel expenses and look solely to evangelize Linux and tell others
about some of the fun and cool Linux stuff that we've been able to
involve companies such as Hitachi in. We are currently working on a new
piece of hardware and would appreciate the opportunity to tell your user
group members about it and let them know that it is (at least will be
soon!) available for purchase ($199) for those who are interested in
exploring and developing embedded Linux systems. Naturally, 100% of all
code is fully protected by the GPL and is available for anonymous FTP or
HTTP download.

It would be my pleasure to find others willing to become involved in
uClinux and write some code for this exciting platform. Note that I am
currently writing a book on uClinux and would appreciate as much
feedback from the Linux Community as possible along the way!

You may have heard about our "Grassroots" SuperH-based MyLinux Pocket
Linux Workstation. If not, please see: http://www.azpower.com/mylinux
for more info. We love Linux and we love doing cool stuff with Linux
whenever possible.

Even if this doesn't sound like something you'd like for your group,
please send me your mailing address and I'll be happy to send you a free
uClinux t-shirt. Be sure to include your size. If all of this free
stuff sounds fishey, don't be concerned. We have managed to figure out
that free software and free stuff always comes back to us in lessons
learned, networking and letting a wider audience know about some of the
services my company provides. Be quite certain that this is definitely
NOT an infomercial or other "sales" pitch at all. Additionally, please
feel free to contact Bill Kendrick at the UCDavis LUG should you have
any concerns whatsoever regarding my authenticity or the presentation
atomosphere. Please do note, that I have been known to take the
occasional pot-shot at a certain Northwestern software giant of some
obvious predatory practices, however, most of it is in fairly good taste
:)

Please also see http://www.azpower.com/H8-uClinux for a photo of the
t-shirt. You can also find our own scholarship grant application form
on the website.

Take Care.

Rob!
