Hi,

At the 12/7 GUM, different options were proposed
for activities for the 12/14 meeting.

Since there was some discussion on the plan
list regarding a swap meet, those present
liked the idea with one reservation. If such
event where held in a month with better weather
and were done in conjunction with other area
computer-related clubs (ie PACC) we could get
a better turn out.

Therefore, anyone who wishes to bring their
unwanted hardware to the 12/4 meeting may do so.
This Saturday will act as a "demo" of whole
swap meet idea. Those who aren't interested
in swap meet activities are also encouraged
to attend for a general lan party and geek
socialization.

This is how it would work...
* The hours of the 12/14 meeting are from 10am-3:30PM
in Newell Simon Hall, 1507. Do not show up before 10am
unless you want setup responsibilities delegated to
you.
* Carts will be available for use, please, please,
respect the carts.
* Those hauling in hardware to swap are responsible
for disclosing to the best of you ability the hardware
in question. If something doesn't work to the
expectations of the person receiving the hardware,
that's btwn the two parties involved, not WPLUG.
* Those who leave hardware behind at the 12/14
meeting accept that the hardware may be donated to
WPLUG or Goodwill computer. If any hardware is
rejected
as a donation, it may be thrown in the trash.
Also, if any hardware is left behind that is too
large to fit in the cars of the person(s) going
to Goodwill to donate, it may be thrown away.
* Those wishing to attend for the lan party, please
be patient as we setup the router. And remember,
net access is a privelage, not a right.
* As always, goodies will be on the food table.
Donations to the food table will be gladly accepted.

Sound fair enough?

Official meeting announcement pending...

Thanks,
Beth Lynn
