[wplug-members] Bylaws amendment - notice and ballot

At the December 11, 2010 General User Meeting of the Western
Pennsylvania Linux Users Group, the members present approved a motion
to amend the Bylaws.  As required by section 10 of the Bylaws, the
amendment must be approved by 2/3 vote using an absentee ballot to
take effect.

The motion is:
  To amend section 5.1 of the Bylaws by striking the words "on a
  monthly basis," and to amend section 5.2 of the Bylaws by striking
  the word "October" and inserting "November."

Attached to this message is the absentee ballot to be used for voting
on this question.  It is also available from the WPLUG web site at
<http://www.wplug.org/wiki/Image:2011_01_WPLUG_Ballot.pdf>.  The
ballots will be counted at the January 8, 2010 General User Meeting.
Please bring your ballot to this meeting or mail it in with sufficient
time to be received prior to the polls closing.  Detailed instructions
are given on the ballot.

The effect of adopting the motion will be to remove the presumption
that General User Meetings are held every month, and to move the
annual election meeting from October to November.
