MIM Software is a medical imaging software development firm
headquartered in Beachwood, OH. As some of you may remember, I moved
away from Pittsburgh to take a job with MIM only a couple of months ago,
and I've had a blast working here even in such a short amount of time.
Put simply, we sell software to hospitals that lets doctors take medical
images and manipulate them in just the right way to make patient
diagnoses. It's pretty cool.

MIM segments its IT positions as such: software developers are on their
own team, tech support workers are on their own team, and Ops provides
infrastructure support as well as working directly with hospitals to
address higher-level questions that the tech support and sales guys
can't answer.

Right now, Ops is a team of three. It was supposed to be a team of four,
but our internal support guy left, and now we're looking for a
replacement. I'm handling his duties in the mean time.

There isn't a formal job description for this position, but here's a
sense of what it's about:

- Provide internal support to Windows and Mac users. A couple people use
Linux, but most use Windows/OSX.

- Perform hardware purchasing and inventory management.

- Write user documentation and handle personal training as appropriate.

So we're mainly looking for an internal support worker. Windows
experience is required since a lot of our software involves it, but Mac
experience is helpful as well, and you need a Linux background to
understand how some of our internal services operate.

Don't worry if you don't have every qualification; I know the people
here, and they're willing to provide you with room to grow as long as
you can demonstrate your ability to go the distance in the long haul.

Here's where it gets interesting. MIM has the sort of amenities that
companies like Google and Apple are famous for: we have an onsite gym, a
lunch service, ping-pong tables, and a break room filled with video
games, pinball machines, and big-screen TVs. The environment is
_incredibly_ casual, and everyone is very friendly.

And that's only the beginning.

So if you're interested, let me know. This is NOT a telecommute job, so
you would be expected to relocate somewhere in the vicinity of sunny
Beachwood, OH.
