Hi,
I just thought I would put these out there, as I think I neglected to do
this so far...
There are, at my last count, 11 positions posted in the Watson group at
IBM. The local group posting these jobs is the former Vivisimo team in
Squirrel Hill. The positions are across several areas, from UX design,
to front-end engineering, to more general software engineering, to
devops roles, to information development (e.g., tech writing). You can
find the list here:

There is also one I'm aware of in the Application Integration and
Middleware group (a different group than the ones above - and happens to
be the one I'm in, if you think you might want to work with me ;-) ),
for what I would describe (at least, among folks on these lists) as a
"high-powered sysadmin-plus". For this one, you'd to be willing to do a
little bit of travel (at least, from Pittsburgh to Ohio, and back,
periodically....).

If you have questions about that last position, I might be able to
provide more information, as I'm sort of familiar with it. For the
positions in the Watson group, unfortunately I really don't have any
further information other than what is in the job postings.
I don't have hiring influence on any of these positions, but if you want
me to submit your resume on your behalf, I'd be happy to do that (and -
in the interest of full disclosure - might even get a bit of a bonus if
you get hired....). Or you can just apply directly if you prefer.
These positions all touch on Linux to one degree or another (OK, some to
a much smaller degree than others, but...). However, they are all very
multi-platform - so if you have a moral aversion to working with
non-open source software, these jobs may not be to your liking. ;-)
Also, just to set expectations - as far as I'm aware, all of the
postings are for full-time permanent positions, and all are aimed at
experienced professionals - none are entry-level, sorry!
Like I said, except for that one last job, all the info I have about any
of these positions is in the job postings. But if you do have a
question you want to ask me personally, please be sure to reply to me
directly, rather than spamming the mailing list - thanks!!
