Hello Everyone,

 

My company with offices located in Blawnox is currently interviewing for
several excellent positions in the field of industrial automation.  I
realize that WPLUG is a COMPSCI and IT oriented group, but my hope is
that some of you may have family, friends, or colleagues seeking
employment in our field.

 

The following are descriptions of the positions we are seeking to fill:

Motion Software Engineer III 

This senior-level (non-manager) position (3-4 years minimum experience)
involves the development of embedded & PC-based industrial motion
control systems. Extensive experience programming and debugging with
Microsoft Visual C/C++, C#, VB(.Net) or other programming languages is
required. Experience with Aerotech motion control products is desired. A
BSEE/ET or BSCS degree or equivalent is required.

Automation Engineer I/II 

This entry-level to junior-level position (0-4 years experience)
involves the development and support of automation systems utilizing
programmable logic controllers, servo & stepper motion controls and
drives, PC-based controls, and human-machine interface (HMI)
applications. Ladder logic, structured text, and SFC languages are the
most commonly used for controls. Embedded & PC-based applications such
as Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View & RSView, Intellution iFix,
InduSoft Web Studio, and Inductive Automation Ignition are commonly used
for HMI and SCADA applications. Demonstrated experience using hardware
and software by manufacturers including Omron Industrial Automation &
Safety, Schneider Electric (Modicon), Rockwell Automation (Allen
Bradley), and/or Siemens is desired but not required. A BSEE/EET degree
or equivalent is required. Understanding of basic electrical safety,
design and wiring is required. Must be comfortable with working on
single & three phase AC equipment utilizing voltages up to 600V.

Machine Vision Application Engineer II

This junior-level position (1-4 years experience) involves the
development and support of machine vision applications for robotic
guidance, inspection & gauging, and detection applications. Must have
demonstrated experience with vision hardware and software from at least
one of the following manufacturers; Omron Industrial Automation &
Safety, Cognex (DVT), Keyence, Dalsa, HALCON, or PPTVision. Other
practical experience with machine vision products will be considered.
Recent graduates with demonstrated academic experience may apply. A
BSEE/EET degree or equivalent is required.

Common to all positions

Must be a self-starter capable of working independently, as well as a
member of a team. Must possess excellent communication skills, both
verbal and written. Proficiency speaking and writing in English is
required. Experience with Spanish, German, and Japanese languages is a
plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows XP and later, and the Microsoft
Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel is highly desired.
Approximately 20% domestic travel is required; some international travel
is possible. Must be a US citizen, no sponsorship is available. This
position is based in Blawnox, PA, a suburb Pittsburgh, PA. Relocation
assistance is not available.
