*Software Engineer Intern – Core Development*

POW (*P*ower *O*ptimized *W*orkloads) Solutions, a soon-to-be CMU cleantech
spinout company, is commercializing cutting- edge power management
algorithms developed in the School of Computer Science at CMU. Faced with
increased demand for IT services, rising power costs, facility
infrastructure constrains, and heavily underutilized servers, data centers
today are wrestling with the tough tradeoff between power and performance.
POW Solutions is building an enterprise level software platform that
directly addresses this tradeoff by intelligently managing incoming workload
(demand) with available supply (number of physical/virtual servers),
resulting in significant increases in energy efficiency, less wasted power,
and less unnecessary CO2 being emitted. Currently a small team of young,
highly motivated, technologists we are now actively looking for an
exceptional software engineer intern to join our team full-time in tackling
this multi-billion dollar data center power challenge.
