Technical Skills


*         Strong Red Hat SA Skills.

*         Experience with Red Hat products such as RHDS, Satellite Server, & Kickstart.

*         VMware or virtualization experience

*         Basic networking skills; needs to be able to check switch status, familiarity with network switch/router configurations.

*         Blade experience specifically IBM blade center management utilities: AMM, BOFM.  Other blade experience would also work.

*         Red Hat Certified Engineer certification desired but not a must.

*         HP Open View (NNM/OVPM/OMU) on a Linux platform.

*         System Administration SAN Skills (help diagnose SAN problems). Some SAN experience to recognize when the problem is SAN related.

*         Oracle knowledge


Candidates will maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Salary based on experience in the $80-90K area.
