Position:  Senior Software Engineer

Salary Range:  $70K to $90K DOE + Benefits

As part of this team you will be responsible for the development, testing,
debugging and support of operating systems, distributed applications, or
file systems. Additionally, you will participate in technical forums where
product development plans are defined and reviewed. A major part of the
responsibilities will be to apply current skills and use up-to-date
technologies to complete projects including, but not limited to:

• Developing architectural and/or functional specifications
• Coding
• Testing and test automation
• Debugging
• Design for reliability/availability/supportability
• Performance analysis


Requirements and Responsibilities:

• C/C++ skills essential; experience with Python, JavaScript, and other
scripting technologies preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers to meet
aggressive goals and high quality standards
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and an understanding of
complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, and
programming practices
• Experience developing software on Linux
• Experience developing distributed and high-availability systems preferred
• Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices
• Creative approach to problem solving and experience and knowledge in
solving complex problems
• Ability to deliver results with limited supervision; must be a
self-starter Strong oral and written communication skills are essential


Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience
• MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple, complex technical tasks
